Spring in Georgia

Second time in Georgia, this time in Spring; departure from Milano Malpensa. I was lucky not to lose my flight, because from my town to the airport I found lot of traffic and I arrived just 5 minutes before the check-in closure.

The first flight, from Milan to Wien, was in time; then I had to wait about two hours in Wien for the second one: this let me to eat a very expansive but good sandwitch near the gate. On the second flight, about 3 hours and an half of travel, I was sit near a girl who asked me if I knew georgian; I said “No; and do you know english?” and it was pretty funny to hear from her “No, solo italiano”: pleasure flight talking to her.

Thanks to the late flight I arrived at Tbilisi’s airport at about 5am, where my friend Ia and her brother were waiting for me; they bring me to my new house, in the same street as in December: small house but really very nice.

During my vacation the weather was good and very hot, even though sometimes it was cloudy and raining. I was much more independant this time, calling taxies and going everywhere also alone: my georgian is getting better! I saw very beautiful places outside Tbilisi: the Betania Monastery, in a very beautiful and peaceful place over the hills, and Mcxeta, a town which was the first capital of Georgia.
