Funambol client for iPhone 3g

Already got the new iPhone? Synchronize it!

The “faboulus„ iPhone 3g has come; and in Funambol, the company I work for, we didn’t wait: oud client for the new Apple’s device is already in the AppStore and it has also been nominated as one of the top twenty cool applications for the iPhone by MacWorld.

Let’s say something about Funambol and the iPhone client: if you sign up to Funambol’s free beta portal (myFunambol), you will be able to synchronize over-the-air contacts between your mobile device and your personal computer; Funambol provides clients for Outlook and over 1,000 different mobile devices. And since everything is Open Source, Funambol Community has written dozens of plugins. You can try it for free:

  • Go to http://my.funambol.com/;
  • sign up for a new account and you will receive an activation link;
  • once your account has been enabled, you will be able to sync your device with myFunambol.

What to say about the iPhone itself? I didn’t try it yet, but I think it is a very cool device with some wonderful features, such as the very big screen and the famous multi-touch, and some problems, such as the price; anyway, the worst thing about the iPhone is that it makes people to argue for “nothing„: I saw people tell others they are stupid because they want/don’t want it and I personally laugh when I see these things. Do you like it? Let’s buy. Do not like? Leave it on the shelf. I think it is quite easy; maybe not for everyone.
