Weekend in Roma: plans

Planning the trip to Roma

I will finally see Roma; it is strange that I have seen London, and more strange I was in Tbilisi for two times, and I have never seen our capital city: but time has come and I will go there on July, 24th. It will be just for a weekend, long weekend in fact, so we are planning everything to see as more beautiful things as we can. Actually I have prepared a map with the itinerary for each day: I am pretty sure we won’t follow them, but it is something, at least. There are some interesting places to see, as well as hotels and b&b that seem nice and restaurants that everyone on the net suggest to try.

“Your previous posts talk only about Tbilisi and now you are going to Roma: have you forgotten Georgia?„ you may ask. And well, my answer would be no. For two reasons: it is not easy to forget a beautiful country such as საქართველო (Saqartvelo, Georgia in georgian language) and also my fellow travelers will be three georgian girls who I met thanks to Skype, plus two friends from Italy.

Itinerary is not the only thing planned: we are for example thinking to have a bike-ride to visit the city, so we searched for a place to hire bicicles; I have found one, seems cool and the owner is very friendly: talked to him by phone, he gaves me all the informations we needs. The place is called BikeAway and you can find it on the map too.
Regarding restaurants, with suggestions from my colleague Michele who lives there I have chosen some of them at the moment; the one I would like to try for sure is Da Bucatino, in Testaccio district: read something very interesting on the net, I become hungry when I think about it!

However, everything can be found on the map: after the trip I will update it, so that everyone can enjoy a 3-days trip in our beautiful capital. I cannot add anything else at the moment, let’s wait to go there to know something more; anyway, if you are going to go to Roma, you can see my map here:
